Applications
Induction Forging: Pre-heating metals before forging to 1,100-1,200°C to increase malleability and aid flow in forging dies. Benefits include less oxidation, easy temperature control, rapid heating, improved forging quality, and protection of forging machine tools.
Induction Brazing: Metal-joining process where two or more metal items are joined by melting and flowing a filler metal into the joint, with the filler metal having a lower melting point than the adjoining metal.
Induction Bending: Uses inductors to locally heat pipe or tube while an accurate drive system pushes the material in a desired radius. The heated section forms at the set radius and is then cooled by water. Widely used in oil and gas industry.
